Pazham nirachath

For 5 numbers

Ingredients:

  • Banana : 5 numbers ( 5 medium sized)
  • Grated coconut-1 Coconut
  • Ghee: 100 gm
  • Maida : 100 gm
  • Sugar : 4 to 5 tbs
  • Oil: for deep fry
  • Salt: as needed
  • Water: as needed
  • Cardamom: 4 no.s ( crushed)
  • Cashew nuts, Raisin(Kismis)

Preparation:

In a pan pour 1 to 2 tbs ghee, Fry the cashews and raisins. Keep it aside.

Filling Preparation:

Pour 4 tbs of ghee to the pan and add grated coconut to the pan. Stir it continuously for 2 to 3 minutes. Only need to change the color to very light brown. Then add 5 to 6 tbs of sugar and crushed cardamom. Mix it well and off the flame. Then add Fried cashews and raisins.

Preparing Batter:

In a bowl add 6 to 7 tbs maida and 4 to 5 tbs water. Mix it well, Need a thick batter. Add 1/2 tbs of salt.

Filling the banana:

Peel off the bananas and make a slit vertically through one side. Fill the coconut mixture into it ( as in below picture).

In a pan pour the oil and heat it.

Either in the open side of filled banana apply this batter or dip the banana in this batter. Then shallow Fry the banana in oil.

You can avoid the deep fry, if so in pan add 2 to 3 tbs of oil and fry both sides.
