Ethakkappam, or Pazham pori
For 10 to 15 nos:
- Ripe banana: 3 to 4 nos
- Maida flour (All purpose flour) : 200 gm
- Rice flour : 3 tbs
- Salt:1/4 tbs
- Turmeric powder(or yellow color powder): a pich
- Baking Soda : 1 pinch
- Sugar :1 tbs
- Water :
- Required oil for frying
Peel off the bananas and slit into 2 pieces. Or cut into small size pieces to make small pazhamporis. Either you can cut the banana into two pieces and slit it, or you can slit the entire banana into two pieces.
Mix all the ingredients,except banana with water and make a batter with dosa batter consistency(not much thick or loose). Pour water little by little into the mixture.
Dip banana pieces in the batter for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, and fry the banana pieces in oil. Deep fry needed for both sides.
“Pazham pori” ready to serve.
