For small cake( 8 pieces)
- Egg: 2 nos
- Maida:1/2 glass
- Semolina (Rava) : 1 tbs
- Cardamom powder : 1 pinch
- Sugar :1/2 glass (powdered)
- Ghee: as needed
- Cashews : for decoration
Mix egg , sugar and cardamom powder in a bowl.
Using a egg beater beat this mixture well, until it became fluffy(so careful of using bowl for this, it will double its size).
Then add maida and Semolina to this mixture and mix well, no need to beat using beater, but mix well, all form a smooth batter.
In a pressure cooker or pan , add ghee and spread on the bottom side.
Pour prepared batter into pan and steam it for 10 minutes( Untill it cook) in low flame.Then off the flame and keep for 5 minutes. Flip the “Tharipola” into a plate and decorate with cashews.
Malabar special “Tharipola”( egg cake) ready to serve.
