- Rice Ada : 200 gm ( Rice ada or Palada will get ready made from store)
- Milk : 1 litter
- Sugar : 1/2 kg (or as required)
- Cardamom : 10 nos ( crush it well)
- Ghee : as required.
- Butter: 2 tbs ( if milk maid use half tin)
- Cashew nuts : 10 nos
- Raisins : 10 nos
- water: as required
Soak the ada in warm water for 20 minutes. Then drain off the water and wash it in cold water for 2 or 3 times. Keep it aside. Ada will become big in size once it is dipped in hot water.
In the pan add 2 tbs of ghee , roast the cashews and raisins in the ghee.
Boil milk and 1 cup water. Then add ada into it. stir continuously. stir for 30 minutes, up to which it cook well. Then add sugar. Mix it well and cook for 30 minutes. Continuously still for another 45 minutes. Stirring is the secret of taste for palada pradhman. After add cardamom powder and butter( or milk maid). Mix it well and cook for 10 minutes. Finally add roasted cashews and raisins.
tasty palada pradhaman ready to serve. Take care of the continuous stirring while making the payasam.
