Just like “pazham pori”(using banana) you can make “chakka pazham pori” using jack fruit
Here we explain method to make “chakka pazham pori” for 10 to 15 nos
- Ripe Jackfruit: 15 nos. (clean the jackfruit and take the bulbs)
- Maida flour (All purpose flour) : 100 gm
- Rice flour : 3 tbs
- Salt:1/4 tbs
- Turmeric powder(or yello color powder): a pich
- Baking Soda : 1 pinch
- Water :
- Required oil for frying
Slit the jack fruit bulbs into 2 to 3 pieces.
Mix all the ingredients with water and make a batter with dosa batter consistency(not much thick or loose). Pour water little by little into the mixture.
Dip jack-fruit pieces in the batter for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, and fry the jack fruit pieces in oil. Deep fry needed for both sides.
Special “chakka pazham pori” ready to serve.
