Kovakka mezhukkuparatti or ivy gourd dish is a healthy and tasty kerala recipe.
- Kovakka / ivy gourd : 20 to 25 nos
- Onions : 1 medium size
- Green chilies: 2 nos
- Curry leaves : 1 stems
- Mustard: 1 tbs
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tbs
- Salt : 1/2 to 3/4 tbs
- Grated coconut : 3 to 5 tbs
Clean the ivy gourd and Chop it well.
In a pan add two tbs of oil. once become hot, splutter the mustard seeds. Then add curry leaves ,chopped onion and green chili pieces. stir it well.
Saute until onion turns it color slightly. Then add chopped kovakka into it. Add salt and turmeric powder. Add 1/8 glass of of water into pan for proper cooking. Stir it well and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Then add grated coconut into it.
Mix it well for 1 minute and off the flame.
Kovakka thoran ready to serve. Serve with Rice…
